Vermont's Second Annual Festival of the Islands Date: 7/29/2011 TO 7/31/2011 Time: 8:00 AM TO 7:00 PM Event Description: On the last weekend in July (July, 29, July 30 and July 31) the five towns of the Champlain Islands, Alburgh, Isle LaMotte, North Hero, Grand Isle and South Hero will be hosting the Festival of the Islands. Numerous events in each town are designed to entertain our visitors and to present the best of the Islands. Adults will enjoy concerts, flea markets, special retail events, wine tours and tastings, farm stands, yard sales, community meals - all set within the beautiful Champlain Islands. The children will love visiting our petting paddocks and seeing llamas and alpacas, having a picnic on a free admission day at Knight Point State Park, or just tasting our delicious Island Ice Cream. It will be a great ‘stay-cation’ for the family on a budget to enjoy. The phrase "something for everyone" was never truer.
