The
University of Vermont The University of Vermont, established in 1791,
is the largest institution of higher learning in Vermont, comprising nearly 300
buildings and a 950-acre main campus. The university maintains a dual focus on
instruction and research. Its enrollment is 7,601 undergraduates, 1,106 graduates
and 394 medical students. The average undergraduate class size is 22.
The University of Vermont faculty consists of 974 full-time and 183 part-time
instructors. Most of the undergraduates are from outside Vermont, principally

Hot Air Balloon Festival Time: 6:30 PM July 8-10, 2011 is the 25th
Anniversary Stoweflake Hot Air Balloon Festival at the Stoweflake
Mountain Resort & Spa, voted a Top Ten Event of Vermont! Sponsored

corner, live band, great food, beer and wine garden, balloon launches

Vermont's
Second Annual Festival of the Islands Time: 8:00 AM TO 7:00 PM On
the last weekend in July (July, 29, July 30 and July 31) the five
towns of the Champlain Islands, Alburgh, Isle LaMotte, North Hero,
Grand Isle and South Hero will be hosting the Festival of the Islands.
Numerous events in each town are designed to entertain our visitors
and to present the best of the Islands. Adults will enjoy concerts,
flea markets, special retail events, wine tours and tastings, farm
stands, yard sales, community meals - all set within the beautiful
Champlain Islands. The children will love visiting our petting paddocks
and seeing llamas and alpacas, having a picnic on a free admission
day at Knight Point State Park, or just tasting our delicious Island
Ice Cream. It will be a great ‘stay-cation’ for the family on a
budget to enjoy. The phrase "something for everyone" was never truer.
